5K GROUP RUN

April 14
California Plaza

The 5K run will be out-and- back from the Crowne Plaza heading south to State Beach back north to Surfer's Point, returning to Crowne Plaza. Runners must be pre-registered to participate.

Men's and Mixed doubles teams in a single-elimination tournament. Games played to 21 points, rally scoring.

 

ROWING (demonstration sport)

April 11

Lake Casitas

All teams will be trained that day on rowing technique in the 8-person shells. No prior experience is needed. A coach will be in the motor boat accompanying crews at all times. This is a challenging sport so be ready to focus and work hard! After an initial technique training session focused on learning how to row, we will finish the day with teams from each division racing each other. Preparation / teaching time will be roughly 60 minutes, and then racing will follow.

 

BASKETBALL

Games will consist of two twenty-minute halves with running clock. Teams must have numbered jerseys.

 

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

San Pedro Beach

Pool Play matches will consist of 1 game to 25 points rally scoring, with a winning margin of 2 points. Medal rounds will consist of best 2 of 3 games to 25 points, rally scoring.

Coed Teams playing a race to 3 games or 50 minutes for each match. 9-Ball Format: A single player playing a single elimination race to 4 games or 50 minutes for each match.

BOWLING

Teams will bowl 3 games with the top 3 high scratch teams receiving medals. No handicaps will be established.

COED SOFTBALL

Games will be 1 one hour in length. Players will start with a 1 ball/1 strike count, and tie games will continue until there is a winner using Inter- national Tie-Break Rules.

DARTS

April 19–22
The Bench Warmer

Coed teams playing a single game of 301. Tiebreaker is single game of 501. Must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

DODGEBALL

May 10-12
Ventura High School

Teams will consist of 6 play- ers on the court at a time. Matches will best 5-9 games or 10-minutes, whichever comes first.

DOMINOS & SPADES

May 11
Four Points Sheraton

Dominos will be best 2 of 3 games to 300 points. Spades will consist of one game to 300 points or 50 minutes, whichever comes first.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Games will consist of two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute half time. No down field blocking, tackling, kick- offs, field goals or punting is not allowed.

Two-person teams where each team gets 40 throws per match. Team ahead after 40 throws will be de- clared the winner.

INDOOR VOLLEYBALL

Ventura High School

Teams will consist of 3 men and 3 women on the floor at all times. Games will con- sist of best 2 of 3 games to 25 points, rally scoring. Let Serves will be played.

KICKBALL

April 23 & April 30
Camino Real Park

Teams will consist of 9 players on the field with at least 4 women. Games will be played to 4 innings or 30 minutes whichever comes first. Alternating m/f lineups will be used.

 

LAZERTAG

Teams will play 12-minute missions in which total strikes made and received will determine winner. Scoring instructions and house-rules will be given prior to the start of the tournament.

MEN'S SOFTBALL

Games will be one hour in length. Players will start with a 1 ball/1 strike count, and tie games will continue until there is a winner using International Tie-Break Rules.

MINIATURE GOLF

Golf N' Stuff

Four-person Coed teams will play best-ball format. Team scores will be determined by taking the lowest score on each hole. Lowest score for 18 holes will determine winners in each division.

PAINTBALL

Urban Quest

Six-person teams will play elimination matches with single-elimination finals.

SIX-A-SIDE SOCCER

May 1 - 2
Camino Real Park

Game will consist of two 20-minute periods. Teams will play with 6 players including goalkeeper. Throw-ins will be replaced by indirect free kicks.

SURF CHALLENGE

May 8
Surfers' Point

Teams will consist of up to 8 Surfers, each competing in a category of their choice. Surfers will be judged on size of wave, length of ride, & maneuvers executed on the wave.

TABLE TENNIS

April 30 - May 1
Balboa Middle School

Teams will consist of Men and Women's singles and doubles and Mixed Doubles. Matches will be best two of three games to 21 points with a winning margin of two points. Balls provided.

TEAM TENNIS

Camino Real Park

Tournament will consist of Men's and Women's Singles and Doubles. Matches will consist of 8 game Pro Sets with a winning margin of 2 points.

TEAM BIATHLON

Ventura Aquatic Park

Teams will consist of up to 2 participants, 1 man and 1 woman competing in a Swim/Run event. Events include: 500M swim and 5K run.

TEXAS HOLD'EM

May 13
Four Points Sheraton

Each player will start with $7,000 in chips with blinds increasing every 12 minutes. As each person loses their chips, they are eliminated from the tournament.

TUG-OF-WAR (Mandatory Sport)

Teams will pull against each other in a 3-minute elimination/pull-off format. If stalemate occurs standards will be shortened and 1 addi- tional minute will be allowed to determine a winner.
